In the field of restorative justice practitioners tend to focus on the needs within a specific community. IIRP Canada’s work for example largely supports teachers, staff, students, and families in K-12 school communities. Working with NRJS has provided me an opportunity to take a step back, see the big picture, and appreciate the innovative restorative justice approaches impacting diverse communities across Canada. I am grateful for this opportunity to learn from other practitioners and leaders in the field and look forward to the Symposium as an opportunity to widen that circle even further!
